“ Pretty small spot with basic accommodation and service, but the food easily stands out. The food is well seasoned and there are plenty of options for both entrees and deserts. I highly recommend the catfish and the bread pudding ”
“ I found it!!!! I finally found the best Cajun food is this area!!! The fried catfish is so crispy and the batter is full of flavor.... We tasted many dishes and were impressed with them all! ”
“ We had a wrestling tournament down in Shreveport and after decided to give this place a try. The total experience was outstanding. The people working there are so friendly and helpful. I had 5 High School boy who had never tried Cajun food. The staff was awesome, letting them sample stuff and helping them order. The food was great. The boys loved the crab cakes. Had to order 2 more orders, they loved them so much. If you're in the area, give this place a shot! ”
“ Got the chicken and spaghetti special today as well as the catfish and freedom fries. I don't think they're called freedom fried here but they were crispy on the outside and nice and decently soft potato on the inside with tasty flavor and good amount of salt on them. The chicken and spaghetti, along with 2 pieces of I think garlic butter toast, was tasty and filling. You get a good amount for 10 bucks and the chicken is shredded mixed into the pasta. The pasts being I believe a Cajun seasoned pasta (pic below). Along with the delicious coke I could not finish the whole plate. I mightve been able to but then I'd get the itis and I needed to go back to work. The catfish was also yummy and crispy. I didn't like the tarter sauce the catfish came with as it had a horseradish taste to it and that's the one flavor I don't really like when it comes to sauces. Regardless, the catfish by itself was good. I can't say it's the best I've had around here but it's up there for sure. Did I mention how good the fries were? I'm the type that can eat fries by itself but I also like them with ketchup; but no ketchup is needed with their fries. I've ate here twice in the past and while I don't particularly remember what I got before, I also don't remember having any complaints so they deserve at least 4.5 stars but I'm definitely bumping it to a 5 because I've had no complaints and their coke is really good too. (Not review related) Thanks to the kind Veteran that was in front of us in line for his invaluable service and for covering our meal. ”
“ Love coming here when I visit Bossier City! Catfish po'boy, seafood gumbo, peanut butter chocolate pie! ”
“ We hadn't been here in a while, but tonight my son & I went in & placed a To Go order. Service was excellent! The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! My very picky son loved the mini meatpies & his chicken strips. I got the Catfish Lafitte & the catfish filets were the best I've had in years! Thank you, Gumbo To Geaux! We WILL be back soon! ”
“ I’m sorry I don’t have pictures of the food. It was so good it was gone too quick. The staff was very kind and helpful to our group of guys from Virginia who don’t know what the Cajun words meant. We tried most of the menu. Everything was good. The crawfish etufe was good but a bit too spicy for me. The gator bites were good just be aware that the inside is a bit mushy, don’t expect a hush puppie consistency. Highly recommend this place ”
“ It was a quick stop for work there as we were visiting only for a day. We wanted to try something local and Louisiana fav. Came across this place. I ordered Catfish Lafitte as suggested by the front desk lady. She was super friendly and understanding! It was right amount of spicy. The dish comes with two catfish over rice topped with crawfish etoufee and the lady was generous enough to split in two plates for us to serve! Overall, if you are looking for some local fav tastes, you are at the right place! ”
